The Assistant / General Manager of Business development is responsible for increasing gross profit and market share while developing ongoing relationships with new and existing customers and overseas agents.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop and implement strategic business plans to achieve targeted revenue and growth.
  • Develop new businesses for all product ranges – Freight Management & Contract Logistics.
  • Develop opportunities to cross-sell products to existing and new clients.
  • Maintain an accurate, ongoing, and robust sales pipeline at all times.
  • Forging and maintaining strong relationships with key contacts in existing and new accounts.
  • Strategic brainstorming and implementation of new business development initiatives.
  • Developing and leveraging the company’s branding and professional profile.
  • Retention of accounts through customer service excellence.
  • Gathering and sharing of market intelligence.
  • Travel throughout the assigned territory (Locally and Overseas) to meet with regular and prospective customers

  • Thorough knowledge of transportation industry logistics and freight forwarding
  • Thorough knowledge of successful sales techniques
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office suite

  • Self-motivated, able to work in a team and independently
